Sospiri del Cosmo

Journey into the Cosmos with Sospiri this spring!

The renaissance and baroque eras saw western humanity intensely negotiate evolving relationships to astronomical observation, both intellectually and culturally. It is no wonder that this left a mark on music of the period! The sun, moon, stars, planets, constellations — all inspired a thread of cosmologically themed vocal and instrumental pieces. Music was even seen as an earthly manifestation of the harmony of the cosmos.

Sospiri seeks to evoke the wonder and the playfulness that courses through this music in our upcoming concert, Sospiri del Cosmo.

Tickets can be purchased in advance or at the door, and are $25 or pay-as-able.
